Pamela e Olivier

We were looking for a place away from the confusion where we could spend a few days in the name of nature and relaxation. We found this home that fully met our expectations, so much so that we were convinced to extend our stay compared to the initial forecasts. The view and the sunset from the loggia apartment will remain in our hearts. Thanks also to the advice and courtesy of Diana and Alberto, impeccable from every point of view, we spent unforgettable days visiting even more corners of paradise than those of the more traditional tourist circuits. Absolutely guaranteed anti-Covid distancing also thanks to the owners' choice to limit attendance, while still being able to count on large and separate spaces. This too is a sign of attention to every detail ... that makes the difference. Highly recommended. Roberta and Massimiliano August 20202, Trip Advisor

I'm not sure why there hasn't been a current review of this property but since there hasn't I feel compelled to do so. We stayed in the Ulysses unit with another couple for a week in Sept. '14. The unit was awesome! This 800+ year old property has been impeccably restored right down to the high end multi feature windows. The view of the pool and hillside from our room was amazing!! Diana and Alberto are wonderful hosts, offering a host of recommendations for places to visit and eat (even assisting with reservations), not to mention the fact that they had supplies in the kitchen and a home baked pastry for us upon arrival. After a few days in Rome, this quaint countryside was a wonderful contrast. There are many places to visit within a quick drive, including Assisi. It was so fun to grab some local food to cook in the villa and enjoy on the extensive patio overlooking the valley. Wine and cheese by the pool at sunset was a wonderful way to end the day. We still can't believe we were able to spend a week at such an unbelievable place!! I would stay here again and again!! Thank you Diana and Alberto. Mary N, April 2015 - Home Away
We are a family of 4 and we have really enjoyed our stay in the tower. It is very clean and full of character. We didn't mind living on 4 levels because we are (rather) young but I can imagine other people do. The kitchen was rather poorly equiped and we also missed the possibility to eat outside. There is a small rooftop terrace but that's merely there to enjoy the stunning sunset in the company of a glass of wine. Alberto and Diana are lovely and will help you with wathever you need; tips on good restaurants, things to see and do,... The pool is great as is the garden, Alberto does a great job there. The views are simply breathtaking. San Silvignano is the ideal operating base to explore the surroundings. And there is plenty to explore. Le Logge is certainly worth a visit.

Dear Diana and Alberto, What an amazing stay we had in September at Le Logge di Silvignano. The lovely setting and accommodations were only part of our wonderful time with you. Your gracious hospitality, our delicious breakfasts (with Alberto's lemon and apple cake!) and your personal recommendations regarding what to see, where to eat, and what we shouldn't miss were always right on and so appreciated. Here are some photos not only from Le Logge but also from Norcia and Spoleto. Thank you and may our paths cross again, whether in Umbria or in Boston! Warmest regards, Sara,Bill and Anna D.- Boston USA Sept 2009

Buongiorno Diana e Alberto!! The remainder of our trip in Italy was wonderful. It was such a relief to pick up my daughter in Florence. Of course she got there without any problems. We loved CinqueTerre and loved the Chianti region, but our most favorite was Umbria. A lot of that had to do, of course, with our most gracious hosts! We stayed in wonderful places, but none came close to comparing with yours. Umbria is a very special place with very special people. Definitely the friendliest place in Italy that we visited. Again, thank you so much for your wonderful hospitality. We enjoyed staying with you and visiting with you so much. Take care. Ciao! Tammy and Dave T.- Oregon USA Sept 2009 p.s. Please say hello to Kevin and Irene for us. They are such wonderful people.

Dear Diana and Alberto, we would like to thank you again for your hospitality in Silvignano - we liked our stay so much that we accidentally packed a plug adapter to take with us. We hope that your Logge will continue to evolve with great success and that we will be able to return as your guests in the future. In the meantime, we can only recommend you to our friends. On Sunday we enjoyed quite a bit the barbeque at the Novelli cantina, even though they were a bit stretched with the organization. We asked the young Novelli about the choice to use Sagrantino grapes for rosé sparkling wine He said that in this way they can use fruit that cannot go into the Sagrantino (or even the Rosso) - for example, because the grapes are slightly damaged or generally of lesser quality; also, they are not bound by the minimum ageing rules so they can immediately go to the market with the sparkling wine. They have it processed and bottled in Alsace. So there you go, a good marketing idea. Best regards, Alex and Aline Bruxelles Belgium May 2009

Dear Diana & Alberto, we had a fantastic start of journey in Italy thanks to your wonderuful hospitality and the gorgeous place you have. I just hope the rest of our journey lives up to this standards. I just don't know what we would have done without your tips about the places to visit in the area. They were so helpful. I will make sure I'll tell all about our stay here to a lot of our friends... Thanks for everything. Dilek – Emir – Buse O. from Istanbul, TURKEY. (P.S.) from Buse: I loved your place. I don't like places like this but yours is so beautiful. I changed my thoughts. I will NEVER forget you! (30th june 2008 - D.E. e B. O. – Istanbul – Turchia)

(Jan e Irene B.v.A. – 20 luglio 2007)

Dear Alberto and Diana, A huge thank you for your hospitality. This is a beautiful, magical place, and we loved everything about it. Our family had a wonderful stay enjoying the property, the pool and the gorgeous area. The care and love that was put into this wonderful place shines through. We will be back, our very best, Rod, Cynthia, Kelsey and Connor, Toronto, Canada. (July 13th, 2007 - R.C.K. and C. – Toronto – Canada)

Alberto and Diana, We loved your welcome, your food, your home and hospitality. All the best with the completion of the "building project". You will certainly have a glorious home in the country. Thanks for a great week! Robin and Fiona N. (Christmas and New Year's Eve 2006/2007 – Robin e Fiona N. – New Zealand)
Dear Karen Brown: I have tried without succes for several days to get into the comments section of your web page. I wish to advise you of what a wonderful addition the Logge di Silvignano (Spoleto) is to your repertoire of fine Bed and Breakfasts. My wife and I stayed there for two nights in September and it was one of the highlights of a 21day visit to Italy. The Suite and service was exquisite and it was all due to the fabulous hospitality of Alberto and Diana Araimo. Mr and Mrs Araimo arranged for details that no other host came close to matching throughout our 21 day visit to Italy. The establishment is beautiful, clean and comfortable and the setting is one of the most picturesque in all of Italy. We highly recommend a visit to the tiny village of Silvignano. It is memorable and we hope to retur again next year. Sincerely Ken M. Alexandria, Va (Ken M. U.S.A. Alexandria Va – 18 novembre 2004)
I would like to thank you for our delightful stay with you and your wife, as our travels took us north through Umbria and Florence to Venice and Como, your place was by far the nicest in Italy. And that's the truth. Thanks for figs. Sincerely, George and Joye D. (George and Joyce D. – 16 ottobre 2004)
Alberto e Diana, thanks so much of for the very thoughtful package of lovely linen the you sent us; very much appreciated. Joy just returned from the U.S. where she has been since shortly after we visited with you. We fondly remember our short visit to le Logge di Silvignano and hope that we can return before our assignement here in Naples comes to a close. Please let us know if you are in Naples to visit Diana's Mother; we would love to visit with you. With best regards,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Grog an Gioia (Gregory and Gioia J. – U.S.A New Jersey 27 giugno 2004)
Alberto and Diana, I must tell you MADE our trip. Alice and I enjoyed two weeks of splendid sightseeing, beautiful landscapes, good wine etc. but out of all of that, our visit with you is the experience that made Italy more than good wine and beautiful duomos. You were so personable and interested in our visit. The accomodations are beyond expectation. Most importantly, I loved seeing your country through your eyes and discoursing on the wide variety of topics with both of you (not the least of which was the truffle discussion, complete with pictures). And John Denver and White House eggs in Silvignano….Who would have thunk it??? Anyway, I had to tell you the impact you had on two dumb Americans in your beautiful country. I also have to reiterate our invitation to visit the west. We have our own remote house on a golf course north of Phoenix in Arizona. So you see, you have some options. And if you ever get to New Zealand or Costa Rica, we have fun folks like you to recommend. Thank again, it was such a pleasure! (Deborah and Alice F. U.S.A. Denver Colorado – 20 maggio 2004)
Diana e Alberto, I wanted to let you know that we very much enjoyed our stay at le Logge di Silvignano. We really enjoyed your suggestions for day trips. We especially enjoyed talking with you, about Italy, the history, the food, the culture, and the remodelling of your le Logge. And we took your advice and went to Ostia Antica and had a nice time wandering around those ruins. It is a very large site with lots to see and wander about. The mosaic near the amphitheatre were amazing. And the museum had a very nice display of statues and other carvings. We than wandered into Fiumicino and ate at l'orologio osteria, on the via della Torre Clementina 114. It was a very good meal-the restaurant serves seafood in very tantilizing ways. The chef was very gracious and translated the menue for us, they have a chalkboard menue – it changes daily. Good wine is also available. Thanks again for helping to make our Italian vacation very enjoyable. Linda (Linda and Mike R. – 19 GIUGNO 2003)
Augurandovi tanto successo, Vi salutiamo. B. Flavio e Luisa P.S. : Lunedì Vi trasmetto la ricetta della trippa. (Flavio e Luisa B. Italia Varese – 11 ottobre 2002)
Hello Alberto e Diana, thanks again for sharing your Logge with us last week – we had a very enjoyable start with you and the cat-bosses of the house. W' ve already recruited our friends for a trip next year! Once I get settled a bit here, we'll send you a photo of our little spot in the world, so you know where we're writing from. Fondly, Christy D. (Christy, Beth e Susan D. U.S.A Kansas City - 28 settembre 2002)
(Nicola e Raffaella G. - 22 marzo 2002)
