The House

Welcome to Harmony

Be enchanted by the beauty, ancient spirit, and calm that is Le Logge di Silvignano.
Proudly standing today among the best examples of medieval architecture in the region, Le Logge’s history reaches back in time to the 11th Century when the home began taking shape as a military fortification. Original wood doors, stones, arches and columns all meticulously restored over many years paired with rooms of soft cottons and linens and nested within lush greenery all shape a sensory indulgence and retreat found in few places.

Le Logge’s scale is intentional, providing only 4 apartment-homes each uniquely designed and curated. Scale and space are essential considerations, and homes are divisible to shape a romantic and quiet experience for two or more shared and communal connections for larger groups. Le Logge di Silvignano is an ideal destination for wedding party accommodations, group retreats or family holidays.

Le Logge, in its dominant hillside position at 600 meters, is an excellent base to experience all that the special region of Umbria has to offer. Top quality, unadulterated food made in the traditions of the countryside region are easily accessed, with many wonderful restaurants available within a short drive (3 – 8 minutes) often featuring the wild boar, pigeon, and mountain lamb common to the area, prepared with the help of the best locally prepared extra virgin olive oil and the abundant and easily found black truffles for which the region is known.

The exquisite hilltop villages of Umbria are just short drives ranging from 10 to 45 minutes including Perugia, Assisi, Spoleto, Bevagna, Spello, Norcia, and Trevi. Umbria among the most stunning, artistic and authentic regions of the country, provides other nearby treasures reachable in under a 30-minute drive including the special Trebbiano, Spoletino, Sagrantino and Rosso wines found through the fine wineries of Montefalco, to world-quality fly fishing in the Nera River to walks along the historic pilgrimage route, the Via di San Francesco of Saint Francis which can be accessed within minutes. Rome to the south (90 minutes), the sunny Adriatic beaches of Marche to the east (90 minutes) and Florence to the north (2.5 hours) all underscore the convenience of Umbria – the most central region of the country. Many other wonderful experiences such as horse riding, rafting and trekking are just a short distance beyond our small and friendly village of Silvignano, with other experiences brought straight to your door including wine tasting, pasta making and cooking classes.

Le Logge is protected under Italy’s Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Tourism. We warmly welcome you to your home away from home.
