The Property

Welcome to Harmony

Be enchanted by the beauty, ancient spirit, and calm that define Le Logge di Silvignano. Proudly standing among the finest examples of medieval architecture in Umbria, the estate traces its origins to the 11th century, when the first stones were laid as part of a military fortification. Original wood doors, stone arches, and centuries‑old columns — all meticulously restored — blend with soft linens, warm textures, and lush surrounding greenery to create a retreat that feels both historic and deeply comforting.

Le Logge’s scale is intentional: with one‑of‑a‑kind apartment‑homes set across the estate, each with its own character, design, and curated details. Spaces can be configured to offer a quiet, romantic escape for two or shared, communal living for families and groups. The estate is an ideal setting for groups, wedding party accommodations, retreats, and extended family holidays. See our Exclusive Use section for more details).

Set at 600 meters on a dominant hillside, Le Logge is a perfect base for exploring Umbria. Exceptional, unadulterated countryside cuisine is close at hand, with wonderful restaurants just 3–8 minutes away — many featuring wild boar, pigeon, mountain lamb, local extra‑virgin olive oil, and the region’s celebrated black truffles.

The exquisite hilltop villages of Umbria are within easy reach — from Perugia, Assisi, and Spoleto to Bevagna, Spello, Norcia, and Trevi — all just 10 to 45 minutes away. Within 30 minutes, you can explore the renowned wineries of Montefalco (Trebbiano, Spoletino, Sagrantino, Rosso), enjoy world‑class fly fishing on the Nera River, or walk along the historic Via di San Francesco pilgrimage route.

Umbria’s central position makes day trips effortless:

• Rome to the south — 90 minutes

• Adriatic beaches of Marche — 90 minutes

• Florence to the north — 2.5 hours

Additional experiences such as horse riding, rafting, and trekking are just beyond the peaceful village of Silvignano, while others — wine tastings, star gazing, pasta‑making, and cooking classes — can be arranged directly at the estate.

The small hillside village of Silvignano is only 15 minutes from downtown Spoleto and its train station. Several excellent restaurants, grocery stores, and a pharmacy are within a 5–10 minute drive.

Le Logge is protected under Italy’s Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Tourism.

We warmly welcome you to your home away from home.

The Garden and pool

At the heart of the estate, positioned perfectly for sunset views, lies the expansive private garden — a serene landscape of walking paths, terraces, a courtyard, and multiple seating areas. More than 100 species of plants are carefully tended here, filling the air with the scents of lavender, thyme, rosemary, broom, and myrtle.

Two ancient fig trees, each more than 150 years old, begin offering their ripened fruit in late August, and guests are warmly invited to enjoy them. Throughout the year, pomegranate, persimmon, and lemon trees provide their own seasonal flavors. Two groves of ancient olive trees — more than 25 in total, all of a varietal native to the valley — produce several liters of oil each season. When available, this estate‑pressed olive oil is stocked in the apartments for your complimentary use.

The pool rests in a reserved, panoramic corner of the property, offering sweeping views over the olive‑covered hills and the peaceful Valle Umbra below. Unusually large for an estate of this scale, the pool measures 6 × 12 meters (18 × 36 feet) with comfortable depths ranging from 140–150 cm (4.6–4.9 feet).

A spacious pergola, shaded by reeds and softened by wisteria, roses, and santolina, provides a cool retreat just steps from the water. The area enjoys sun from morning until sunset, with lounge chairs, deck chairs, and umbrellas available for your use.

Relax around the pool, the garden chairs, or in the large jacuzzi. One token for complimentary use is included with your booking; additional tokens may be purchased upon request. Pool towels are provided in all apartments and holiday homes.
